Market volume of CFB boiler in China

Nearly 3,000 sets of CFB boilers have benn installed in China with capacity varying from 35 to 1,025 t/h, the total installed capacity reached about 40 GW. China has the largest number of CFB boilers at use and the largest total installed capacity in the world. It is estimated that the CFB market in China would reach 18% annual compound growth rate during ¡°11th Five-Year(2006-2010)¡± and keep over 14% annual compound growth rate during 2010 to 2020.

Manufacturing license system of Chinese boiler enterprises
(1) Old licenses system
The production license system of boilers was enforced since 1980s. Boilers are manufactured by boiler works which are State graded to signify, from ¡®A¡¯, the best, down to ¡®E¡¯, their capability for constructional quality and pressure integrity. All the enterprises had to manufacture in terms of the production license enacted by the General Administration of Quality Supervision,Inspection and Quarantine of the People¡¯s Republic of China,. The enterprises were classified into 5 categories in old licenses system:
  Grade A enterprise: allowed to produce stationary boiler under various pressure. Grade A manufacturers concentrate their efforts on the highest pressure, site erected, utility boilers, so their production of industrial boilers is small.
  Grade B enterprise: allowed to produce utility boiler and industrial boiler with operating pressure under 9.81MPa. The Grade B manufacturers similarly devote much of their manufacturing skill to heat and power cogenerating boilers over 10 t/h(steam capacity) and large capacity hot water boiler.
  Grade C enterprise: allowed to produce steam boiler and hot water boiler with operating pressure under 2.45MPa
  Grade D enterprise: allowed to produce steam boiler and hot water boiler with operating pressure under 1.57MPa
  Grade E enterprise: E1 produces steam boiler with capacity less than 1t/h with operating pressure under 0.39Mpa and hot water boiler with outlet water temperature under 120¡æ. E2 produces steam boiler with operating pressure under 0.1Mpa and hot water boiler with outlet water temperature under 120¡æ, rated thermal power less than 2.8MW.

(2) New licenses system
The old license system was revised in 2001. The new license system also applied to the constant pressure hot water boiler. See below for details of the new license system:
  Grade A enterprise: stationary boiler under various pressure, heat and power cogenerating boilers over 10t/h(steam capacity) and large capacity hot water boiler.
  Grade B enterprise: steam boiler and hot water boiler with operating pressure under 2.5 MPa.
  Grade C: steam boiler and hot water boiler with operating pressure under 0.8MPa and steam capacity less than 1t/h.
 Grade D: steam boiler with operating pressure under 0.1Mpa and hot water boiler with outlet water temperature under 120¡æ, thermal power less than 2.8MW.
